Amalgamated Sugar Company is hiring Production General Labor employees for our Nampa, Idaho sugar manufacturing facility. What You'll Do
As a Production General Labor employee, you will help support daily manufacturing and production operations throughout our sugar processing facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting sugar manufacturing and production operations
- Operating and assisting with industrial equipment and machinery
- Using basic hand tools and production equipment
- Performing cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping duties
- Monitoring work areas for safety and efficiency
- Moving materials and equipment as needed
- Following company safety policies and operating procedures
- Reading and understanding production instructions, schedules, and safety information
- Working collaboratively with production, maintenance, and operations teams
- Completing additional duties as assigned
Work Environment
This position works in an active industrial manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work around moving mechanical equipment
- Work indoors and outdoors year-round
- Tolerate hot, cold, wet, dusty, and noisy conditions
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift and carry up to 55 pounds
- Bend, kneel, squat, stoop, and reach regularly
- Work safely in a 24/7 manufacturing operation
- Work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule
- Read and comprehend written instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.
- Must pass a post-hire Safety Test (in English) with a score of 70% or better.
Schedule
- Rotating 12-hour shifts
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Includes weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Days off between rotations
- One full week off each month
Qualifications
Required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate, read, and understand English
- Reliable transportation to Nampa, Idaho
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

- Starting Wage: $21.63 per hour
