Job Purpose
To execute the manufacturing process under the guidance of Manufacturing manager to achieve the targeted volumes and yield of finished product, using optimum resources and complying with Quality, Safety & Environmental standards. This position is vital in driving continuous improvement through manufacturing excellence principles. Accountability
Area of Responsibility

Responsible for manufacturing operations of lifestyle nutrition products like Horlicks, Boost and their variants.

The job holder guides the shopfloor team for efficient operations, for maintaining good working environment & to ensure prevailing of cordial industrial relations
Expected Delivery

Manage and supervise daily production activities, including planning, scheduling, and execution, to meet production targets and deadlines.

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.

Monitor and control production processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.

Lead and motivate production teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure output delivery & operational excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, quality assurance, and engineering

Identify and eliminate unsafe behaviors and encourage near miss reports and tool box talks before initiation of routine and non-routine activities.

Implement and monitor standard process parameters, quality specifications, GMP hygiene norms to produce products which meet the customer requirements

Closely monitor manufacturing processes to ensure effluent minimization, wastage reduction and reduction in water consumption in day-to-day process activities.

Enhance kaizen culture and ensure focused improvement in production lines and equipment to maintain optimal performance and identify maintenance needs.

Contribute to the digital initiatives and automation at site and ensure implementation in the process for value creation

Support new product development and scale-up activities, ensuring smooth integration into existing production processes

Take part in process development projects, prepare and validate SOPs for new equipment/processes.

Understand the management-union negotiations at the time of agreements and ensure smooth industrial relations.

Complete the assigned Safety and quality monthly KPI’s within the due date.

Qualification and Experience:

Graduate/postgraduate in Technology from a reputed institute.
