This position reports to:

Manager Production Development

__

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.
The work model for the role is onsite.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Drive process optimization and digitalization initiatives across Battery and Converter Production by analyzing and improving production processes, shopfloor workflows, and the interaction between machines, systems, and operators.

  • Manage and further develop production data, reporting solutions, and manufacturing systems, including MES, ERP, smart tools, Power BI, and related applications.

  • Support the reliability of digital shopfloor infrastructure and provide hands-on troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment, OT systems, industrial networks, interfaces, and other production systems.

  • Support the transition from engineering to manufacturing and coordinate the implementation, testing, rollout, documentation, and training of manufacturing solutions, including product data flows, PLM processes, BOM transformations, and design guidelines.

Qualifications for the role

  • University degree in engineering or a related technical field, or a strong technical background combined with relevant industrial experience, for example in production, assembly, testing, or maintenance.

  • Basic digital know-how and a strong interest in digital manufacturing, production systems, PLM topics, and the use of 3D models in manufacturing processes.

  • Practical understanding of industrial operations and shopfloor requirements, ideally within battery or converter manufacturing.

  • Ability to analyze production processes, workflows, manufacturing machines, and production plants, identify improvement potential, and translate findings into structured and practical solutions.

  • Interest in production data analysis and familiarity with manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP, Power BI, smart tools, OT systems, or industrial networks.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, and other stakeholders. Fluency in German and English is required.

  • High motivation, curiosity, and willingness to take responsibility; basic knowledge of BOM structures, PLM processes, or troubleshooting of digital shopfloor systems is an advantage.
