This Position reports to:
Production Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for Product Engineering, ensuring that technology, assembly methods, and processes follow the ABB guidelines and proper requirements. You will manage the entire product cycle, from the development (working together with R&D) to life cycle management. Furthermore, you will showcase your expertise by defining the correct validation process to achieve the target product robustness.
The work model for the role is onsite. #LI-Onsite
This role is contributing to the Power Protection business in Quartino. The main stakeholders are Quality, R&D, Production, and After-sales Service.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Cooperating with R&D to find the best suitable solution for the industrialization of the product.
Checking and validating technical deliverables (validation protocols, DFMEA analysis…) during the development of a new product.
Checking and validating technical solutions introduced during the life cycle management of the product.
Providing technical support to Production.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Master's degree will be considered as a plus
Highly skilled in DFMEA analysis, product development process, in the UPS industry, with enhanced knowledge of power conversion
+5 years of experience in electronics/power electronics, in particular dealing with frequency converter technologies
Team player with good communication skills, especially with cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving mindset
Fluent in English
