Job Description:
Production Engineer positions offered by HL Mando America Corporation (Hogansville, Georgia). Responsible for optimizing production line operations, with a focus on new model implementation and tooling and machine modification. Review engineering documents, improve production efficiency, and support the introduction of new products and equipment. Apply technical knowledge related to automotive assembly processes, particularly for rack-type electrical power steering (EPS) systems. Monitor and control the daily operations of production lines to ensure efficiency and quality standards. Analyze and improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime. Prepare and manage AIAG manufacturing process documentation, including process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, work standards, and check sheets. Provide engineering support for product design changes and new model launches. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of new machinery or process changes. Troubleshoot issues related to servomotors and robotic systems in the production environment. Apply engineering knowledge in rack-type EPS gear assembly production processes.
Minimum Requirements:
• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 1 year of experience working with manufacturing process documents, including product drawings, PFMEA, or control plans
• In lieu of a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields, employer will accept 2 additional years of experience.
• Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:
- Improving production efficiency involving machinery and product flow
- Performing machine and tooling modification for new product implementation
- Working with servomotors and robotic equipment in a production setting
- Performing data analysis and server maintenance in a production environment
• Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- One year of experience working with manufacturing process documents, including product drawings, PFMEA, or control plans
- In lieu of the required bachelor's degree, two additional years of relevant experience
- One year of experience improving production efficiency involving machinery and product flow
- One year of experience performing machine and tooling modifications for new product implementation
- One year of experience working with servomotors and robotic equipment in a production setting
- One year of experience performing data analysis and server maintenance in a production environment
