Scope
The Production Engineer – Specialist III will provide technical leadership during the production stage of asset operations while sharing production engineering expertise, supporting asset development, and developing the capabilities of less-experienced engineers. This is a field-based position that requires close collaboration with field personnel and other engineers.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of production engineering experience, relevant basin experience in the Haynesville and/or Eagle Ford, and a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop a team.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for projects and producing operations.
  • Perform production surveillance and identify opportunities to improve asset performance.
  • Evaluate and prioritize operational opportunities based on production impact and economics.
  • Apply broad technical and business expertise to solve complex production and well-performance problems.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in resolving technical challenges.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for non-routine operational problems.
  • Provide technical leadership and quality assurance for established, adapted, and emerging technologies.
  • Support production optimization, well performance, artificial lift, wellwork, and reliability initiatives.
  • Influence operational and technical decisions without requiring direct authority.
  • Work closely and effectively with field personnel, operations teams, and other engineers.
  • Mentor and develop less-experienced engineers.
  • Provide input regarding technology opportunities that could improve business and asset performance.
  • Represent the company in technical interactions with partners, joint ventures, competitors, industry organizations, academia, and other external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of closely related production engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within the applicable discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced proficiency across production engineering disciplines, including:
    • Production surveillance and optimization
    • Well performance
    • Wellbore hydraulics
    • Fluid flow and hydraulics
    • Completion design
    • Workover design
    • Artificial lift
    • Operations support and surveillance
    • Subsurface equipment
    • Wellheads, trees, and surface equipment
    • Wellwork units
    • Maintenance and reliability systems
  • Broad knowledge of applicable design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.
  • Experience evaluating production opportunities and supporting economic prioritization.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineers.
  • Ability to work effectively with field operations personnel and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, particularly for technical and business communications.
