The Production Coordinator Scheduler maintains asphalt, concrete, sealcoat, and striping crews’ daily projects schedule to ensure proper placement of crews and company assets. Performs a variety of tasks to support and communicate between production and Sales department.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Schedules all jobs/projects so that they are completed in the most efficient manner and expedites punch list to close out jobs.
  • Prepares daily progress reports.
  • Updates calendar with daily icons and progress report notes.
  • Entering daily material and equipment costs for all branches.
  • Tracking field OT hours weekly.
  • Barricade ordering and invoices.
  • Schedule dates with subcontractors and follow up on completion.
  • Help with the equipment maintenance and fleet list.
  • Support and assist Project Managers with project completion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures while performing the work.
  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Report any accidents/incidents to Superintendent, or Human Resources Manager.
  • Perform or assist with any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned to maintain workflow and meet schedules.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

High school diploma and at least 2 years of experience within the construction industry.


Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

  • Must have exceptional communication and organization skills.
  • Must have strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet design and maintenance, navigating in databases, and creating presentations.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Requires detail orientation and attention.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and manage a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to fully understand the paving process.
  • Ability to use heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends/holidays as needed to meet deadlines.

Tools & Equipment Used

Heavy equipment, hand and powered tools, common cleaning equipment and small engine equipment.

Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.

Skills Required

  • High school diploma
  • At least 2 years of experience within the construction industry
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills
  • Strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
