Job Summary**
The Production Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Sealy Mattress Company of PR's production processes, coordinating various aspects from planning to execution to meet production targets and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Coordinate the allocation of materials, equipment, and personnel to meet production demands.
* Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and material usage.
* Communicate effectively with production teams, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
* Implement and enforce safety regulations and quality control standards on the production floor.
* Prepare and distribute production reports to management.
* Assist in inventory management related to raw materials and finished goods.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
* Proven experience (1-3 years) in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a coordination or supervisory role.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Familiarity with production planning software or ERP systems is a plus.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred due to the company's location in Puerto Rico.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control procedures.
