Lucasfilm Animation Ltd., the creators of the Emmy award-winning animation series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and the highly successful animation series “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord” “Star Wars Rebels,” “Star Wars Resistance,” “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” “Tales of the Jedi” and “Tales of the Empire” are looking for a Production Coordinator for the Storyboard and Layout departments who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, collaborative mindset and passion for great filmmaking that defines Lucasfilm Ltd..

Responsibilities:
  • Provides production support to the Story team – Supervising Director, Episodic Directors, Story Artists, APM and Producer.

  • Acts as administrative and back-up support to the APM to ensure all production events are run smoothly and executed efficiently.

  • Assists with preparation for an episode, populating internal production/creative tracking system with necessary data in order for the Story team to begin storyboarding. 

  • Additionally tracks requests from the Story team to corresponding departments as modifications are needed. 

  • Schedules and organizes meetings for various departments.

  • Researches and gathers materials and information necessary for the preparation and execution of production, such as preparing all paperwork and setup required for turnovers and kickoffs both internally and overseas.

  • Responsible for creating meeting notes, follow-ups, documents and schedules as required.

  • Assists with uploads and downloads of media.

  • Prepares routine correspondence and forms. Packages, ships, and tracks electronic files and deliverables as necessary.

  • Completes special projects as needed or requested.

Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience in Production, preferably in Animation.

  • Requires excellent administrative and detailed note taking skills, including word processing, strong working knowledge of the Google Suite, Word, Excel and Outlook. 

  • Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team. Needs to demonstrate a high level of initiative, flexibility and confidentiality. 

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, communication, and follow up/follow through skills required.

  • Experience or interest in the areas of Storyboarding or Scripts.

  • Ability to multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure, fast paced environment while meeting strict deadlines. 

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Animation, Art, Film or related field preferred but not required. 

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $64,600 to $83,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
