The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of production control, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and resources throughout the production process.

1st Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM, Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $19.63

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and production goals.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and resources needed for scheduled production runs and requirements.
  • Monitors production progress, identifies and resolves any issues or points of congestion.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure quality standards, accurate scheduling, inventory management, and timely delivery of products.
  • Provide recommendations in support of maintaining continuous process improvements.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
  • All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Prepares and maintains reports and records regarding raw materials usage, quality control, defect frequency, and production volume.
  • Inspects materials and finished products to ensure conformance to applicable specifications.
  • Ensures that incoming shipments are consistent with purchase orders.
  • Ability to assist in coordinating team members to meet production goals.
  • Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner, when applicable.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with individuals.
  • Competent in maintaining accurate and organized records.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of computers programs for entering data, including MS Word and MS Excel.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus
  • Previous experience with inventory management software
  • Time-management skills
  • Eagerness for continuous learning
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Educational Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field preferred or equivalent work experience

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Warehouse environment
  • The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary
  • The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary
  • The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary
