Summary:

To accurately follow batch tickets to create solvent blends, stain bases, or basic lacquer products.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Accurately read and interpret scheduling software to ensure batches are produced accordingly.
  • Read and comprehend batch tickets to follow instructions for creating batches.
  • Identify and select the appropriate tub for batch production.
  • Locate various raw materials and accurately pull them for production.
  • Verify descriptions on raw materials and precisely weigh each material.
  • Operate all necessary production equipment for the batch-making process.
  • Properly allocate raw materials within the inventory system.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Lab for testing and batch approval.
  • Operate a forklift to transport materials.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and comply with OSHA standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work areas.
  • Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in all situations.
  • Report punctually for all scheduled shifts and return from breaks and lunches promptly.
QualificationsKnowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Preferred 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication skills (including reading and writing).
  • Ability to produce results with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Forklift operation skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • High work ethic, moral integrity, and honesty.
  • Professionalism in personal appearance, hygiene, and dress, per the company's acceptable standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to:

Working Conditions:

Working conditions for this position are in a plant environment. The employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures.


Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Some overtime and Saturday work may be required during peak season.

Pay Rate:

$20- $22 per hour, depending on experience.
