JOB DETAILS
Base pay start at $19.00 per hour plus $1.50 per hour differential for 2nd shift
Shifts:
1st shift: 4:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday
2nd Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday
Schedule will include overtime as designated.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Assemblers are responsible for various windows & doors assembly operations. Assemblers will also be responsible for maintaining the flow of material throughout the plant.. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.
- Operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools as required
- Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies
- Help ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements
- Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities
- Follow defined clean-up times
- Must follow and work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and Standardized Work
- Participate in defining and improving standard work to improve quality windows for our customers
- Identify problems; communicate issues
- Assist with training co-workers
- Support a respectful workplace
- Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Dependability/punctuality
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to read/write in English is preferred
- Basic reading and math skills are preferred
- Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods
- Possess communication, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
