The Production Associate must be a community advocate for our organization, our residents, and those in need of our services.
The Production Associate is responsible for maintaining excellent customer service, assists in the day-to-day operation of the Hillcrest Thrift Store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through volunteer management, merchandising, inventory management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage.
Position: Full-Time (40 hours)
Schedule: Monday - Saturday availability, 8 Hour shifts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Accept, and sort donations.
· Tag, hang, and place on sales floor in appropriate locations sorted donations.
· Communicate with Supervisor/Manager regarding incoming donations.
· Implementing and maintaining customer service standards.
· Maintaining all merchandising standards, display presentation, signing standards and monitoring inventory levels.
· Maintaining proper execution of goals in designated area of the store.
· Maintaining adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
· Serve in other duties, roles, responsibilities as needed by the organization to fulfill its mission.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
· A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Ability to communicate with employees, customers, and donors.
· Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
· Ability to freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, donation center, and register area.
· Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
· Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations.
· Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate, confidential and thorough manner.
· Familiarity with Windows, Office, Google Drive, Gmail, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Volgistics.
· Ability to travel to Hillcrest sites throughout the Kansas City metro area.

What We Do
Hillcrest Transitional Housing is a non-profit organization dedicated to solving homelessness in the greater Kansas City metro area. It provides homeless families, singles, and youth with disciplined educational programs and supportive housing services. Through transitional and rapid re-housing initiatives, the organization aims to move clients from homelessness to self-sufficiency, helping them become self-supporting and self-reliant contributors to society.
