Perform advanced sheet-metal production operations such as drilling and countersinking, interpret blueprints, operate shop-floor equipment, inspect part quality, complete production documentation and ERP entries, and support continuous improvement activities. Train and guide junior associates, cross-train in other production areas, provide backup coverage, and maintain a clean work area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform production operations according to established methods. Typically, will perform more advanced operations for example drilling or countersinking.
• Interpret blueprints and/or other diagrams and work instructions to perform production tasks.
• Operate production equipment in a variety of areas on the shop floor.
• Ensure part finish quality is to requirements.
• Complete production-related paperwork, signoffs as required. Document part counts in ERP system.
• Participate in CI and Lean-related activities.
• Provide guidance to junior members of the team.
• Cross train and act as backup in other production areas. 
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

Qualifications

Typical Educational/Experience Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED.
• 3+ years of comparable experience.

Qualifications:
• Ability to read and write English
• Proficiency with shop math. 
• Working knowledge of measuring equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints as required.
• Basic computer skills. 
• Knowledge of Lean principles and practices.

Physical Requirements:
• Lift/Carry (lbs.): 15-45 lbs.,
• Push/Pull (lbs.): 1-15 lbs.
 

Skills Required
