JOB DESCRIPTION

Production Associate

The Production Associate will work with other team members throughout all departments to perform excellent work and continuously improve. The job will consist primarily of working in a shop floor environment to manufacture, package, and move product in multiple production cells.  Work may include operating machinery and recording production data.

 

Reports to: Production Manager

Key Roles

  • Work to standard: Perform work to standards for safety, quality, and time while identifying abnormalities.
  • Organize work area: Maintain and improve organization and cleanliness of work area.
  • Help solve problems: Support the team in solving problems for customers and improving processes.
  • Routine minor maintenance: Regular care and adjustment of tools and equipment.
  • Provide value to internal and external customers
  • Create and pursue self-development plan
  • Other duties as needed: Job duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time and may include potential transfers to other departments and local facilities.

  • Able to read measuring tools (tape measure, calipers)
  • Willing and able to operate equipment including, but not limited to saws, metal presses, drill presses, and routers.

Preferred Qualifications

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing setting.  May be subject to the current local weather conditions. 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Position Type/Time Expectation

This is a full-time hourly position. Days and hours of work are varying from Sunday evening through Friday evening.  40-45 hours are typical.  Occasional additional overtime will be required.
