Position Summary
The Production Assistant provides administrative support to the plant production team by overseeing the administration of various systems and programs.
Key Deliverables:
- Oversees the daily and monthly calculation of production efficiency and spoilage rates
- Provides production volume, efficiency, spoilage, and stock inventory reports
- Assists with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of quality systems, raw material management and performs periodic internal audits as directed
- Assists in training new employees as needed
- Monitors data in SAP and Lighthouse to ensure accuracy, and makes corrections when needed
- Provides administrative support in cooperation with the production department needs
- Ensures materials and finished goods inventory accuracy in cooperation with the warehouse department
- Purchases auxiliary materials as needed to support production department in coordination with the purchasing team
- Performs other duties reasonably corresponding with the role, as directed
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment desired
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to work independently
- Experience with manufacturing MES systems (Shop Floor Online) is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is desired
- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals
- Strong knowledge in Excel is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
