What will you do?

The production of corrugated cardboard and its conversion into packaging is a very specific process. It starts at our corrugator, where sheets of corrugated board are produced. These sheets are then processed into boxes in the Converting department by cutting, folding, printing, and die-cutting. All of this is done according to specific designs, quality standards, and dimensions that are unique for each customer.

As Production Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the machines and equipment that produce corrugated packaging. In this role, you report to the Head of Operations. Safety is the top priority, and you also ensure that the production process runs efficiently while safeguarding quality. You develop production targets, focus on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and propose improvements to achieve better production results.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring optimal alignment of staffing and machine capacity;
  • Holding regular meetings on progress, bottlenecks, and actions (with Technical Service and Team Leaders, among others);
  • Monitoring and adjusting departmental results;
  • Informing internal stakeholders about major breakdowns and deviations (including management and Sales if deliveries are impacted);
  • Monitoring budgets;
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations of the team;
  • Discussing complaints, issues, and required maintenance for installations;
  • Maintaining contact with vocational trainers;
  • Being ultimately responsible for the development of your team;
  • Reporting production results and KPIs;
  • Initiating and implementing improvements regarding safety, quality, productivity, and costs.
