Technical Product Manager, Data Core
The Role
Cedar is improving the healthcare financial experience. Our technology improves the overall experience of patient billing and engagement, enabling providers to thrive in a constantly evolving environment while helping patients understand the cost of their care!
Cedar is looking for a Technical Product Manager to work alongside Cedar’s team of data engineers and data scientists on data infrastructure projects and data pipelines while also crafting and evolving how Cedar governs its data. At a high level, the role will involve:
- Strategy: meeting with internal stakeholders to understand their key data problems and developing strategies for solving them
- Product Development: working with engineering and data science to execute on a roadmap
- Data Enablement: overseeing the data lifecycle at Cedar, enabling the discovery of data that is understandable, ready to use, and compliant
Responsibilities
- Lead product discovery to drive a data strategy at Cedar
- Investigate and scope which key problems your squad should tackle
- Develop and lead execution on a roadmap for the product development team (engineering, data science) which aligns with our overarching product strategy
- Develop and share thought leadership around your domain
- Work cross-functionally with partners to build specs and implement features
- Define measurement strategies for your team and your products
Required Skills & Experience
- Effective communicator, both written and oral
- Strong data analysis and storytelling skills
- Track record of delivery in constantly evolving, highly collaborative, cross functional-stakeholder environments
- Experience working with data teams or on data-oriented problems
- Proficient with modern data tools such as Looker/Tableau, Amplitude/Mixpanel/etc, Segment/etc, Excel
- Ability to write simple queries and understand data structures - SQL, ETLs, and databases
- Comfortable solving big, ambiguous problems
- Sweats the details
- 3+ years of technical product management experience working directly with engineers and data scientists
- Open to candidates based in NYC, San Francisco, or Salt Lake City as well as remote candidates
Bonus Qualifications
- Python
- Validated experience in the healthcare space (providers, insurance companies, tech companies…), specifically within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Electronic Medical Record (EMR), or patient engagement spaces
