LivePerson is currently seeking a creative and talented professional to join our team as a Technical Product Manager as part of our Maven Messenger team. We’re "work from anywhere" friendly and have multiple team members working from remote locations. The successful candidate has an opportunity to work as part of the global product and technology unit and help to build state of the art services that are used by our largest customers.
Technical Product Manager - Maven Messenger: Do you want to be part of a brand new product team trying to change the world? Join us to build breakthrough messaging consumer experience and integration with leading e-commerce brands. Artificial intelligence, bots, big data, natural conversational interfaces, multi-modal messaging, mobile apps, and messaging apps are all technologies you will be working with to build the product.
In this role you will:
- Develop the product strategy and vision supported by market analysis and customer needs.
- Evangelize and build consensus for the product vision within the team and with key partners
- Define the product roadmap that aligns to customer needs and LivePerson business goals.
- Develop business requirements, user stories and success metrics that designers & engineers can build on
- Ideate, brainstorm & communicate through vision docs/presentations, specs & UX wireframes where appropriate
- Help teams prioritize and make trade-offs regarding user experience, business impact and technical scale
- Lead cross-functional teams (design, analysts/data scientists, engineering, service engineering) across multiple geographies through execution of product roadmap
- Represent the product in internal service reviews & help identify ongoing investment opportunities & areas for improvement
- Represent the team/product in industry settings such as product launches & expert conferences
Your qualifications are:
- BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- MBA or equivalent professional experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in an e-commerce-focused product management role.
- 3+ years of experience managing experience of native mobile and web apps with UI and UX responsibility
- Experience in user experience design, pixel fanatic and always put the consumer in mind.
- Knowledge of app frameworks and experience with cloud services.
- Ability to communicate effectively – demonstrate clarity of thought in writing & presentations
- Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical audiences & influence at different organizational levels.
- Effective at collaborating across boundaries & job families with multiple stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to make things happen
In this role you will:
- Work cross-functionally with software development, operations, security and leadership to set product strategy and vision, launch features, drive adoption.
- Develop detailed, crisp and thorough business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for various products and applications.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle starting from ideation all the way through launch and optimization.
- Incorporate feedback from end-users, business stakeholders and external partners to continuously improve the product, drive adoption and customer satisfaction
- Manage prioritizations and trade-offs among consumer experience, performance and operational support.
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally at LivePerson and externally across partners.
- Work with innovative technologies incorporating AI, machine learning and conversational interfaces.
What you need for success:
- Bachelor’s degree with a technical discipline.
- 4+ years of software platform, e-commerce product management experience.
- 2+ years experience launching software products/services to large consumer populations.
- Ability to communicate effectively – demonstrate clarity of thought in writing & presentations.
- Effective at collaborating across boundaries & job families with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle.
- Experience defining short and long term product strategies and executing on associated roadmaps.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to make things happen
- Experience with Shopify, Bigcommerce or e-commerce partners is a plus.
