About the role:
You will own some of the most fundamental pieces of the flagship Driver App, including end-to-end product strategy and execution of UX-forward features that improve the daily lives of drivers around the world.
Success in this role requires high comfort with ambiguity and a passion for user experience, design frameworks, and storytelling. You will be responsible for reimagining how drivers interact with Uber through the app and inspiring executives and teams across the company to build out your vision.
What the Candidate Will Do:

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for your team, including bold bets, incremental improvements, near- and long-term initiatives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer journey, continuously gaining insights and making decisions through user research, quantitative analysis, and A/B testing.
  • Balance UX design and machine learning to rapidly execute and iterate with an emphasis on practicality, user impact, and learning.
  • Define success metrics that capture both user experience and business objectives.
  • Partner with UXR, Design, Engineering, and Data Science to turn your vision into reality.
  • Collaborate with other product teams around the company to pull together the best end-to-end driver experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of product management experience delivering innovative and high impact consumer products.
  • Passion for user experience, strong design intuition, and knowledge of visual design concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills to present strategy and progress to a wide range of audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Strong product intuition, a bias to action, and a demonstrated track record of leading others through ambiguity.
  • A track record of understanding different perspectives and building alignment across conflicting points of view.
  • Evidence of driving major cross-functional initiatives through powerful story-telling and effective prioritization. You inspire others.
  • Independent self-starter with a growth mindset.
  • Capable of decomposing strategy and vision into bite-sized milestones.
  • Ability to guide technical decisions to the sweet spot between aspirational and practical.
  • Expertise at analyzing data to draw conclusions, inform data-backed decisions, and measure the value of your work.
  • Grit and resilience. You roll up your sleeves and rally your team to remove roadblocks and continue marching toward your North Star.
  • Experience in machine learning or a strong desire to learn
