Job Description:

As part of the Internet of Things Group (IOTG), the Vision Processing Unit (VPU) Team have been at the forefront of designing and delivering solutions for exciting new machine vision and artificial intelligence markets. We are seeking a technically deep Software Product Manager to join the team to lead planning and execution of the VPU SW product.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications below:

  • Hands on experience researching, developing and deploying SW
  • Understanding of software technologies on Intel Platform solution stacks, leading open-source projects, industry standards and emerging areas of interest in AI.
  • Experience with software engineering, product development functions, and understanding of how Intel products are used in real deployments in client, network, and/or edge.



As the VPU Software Product Manager, you will be collaborating with multiple stakeholders both inside and outside Intel and operating at all stages in the product lifecycle - from product concept through to delivery across Intel platforms.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Generating and prioritizing structured Product Requirements based upon feedback from customers, internal teams and business partners. Requirements will be focused on customer workloads and the mapping of these to required functionality on the platform.
  • Developing strategies and detailed software plans to enable Intel platforms and technologies through the full stack for consumption by end customers at launch.
  • Prioritizing requirements within the product/project scope and leading VPU SW prioritization centralization effort
  • Leading innovation and cross-functional teams through all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Working closely with outstanding Engineering teams, Product Managers, Program Managers, Software Architects, Sales and Marketing teams bringing new capabilities of the Intel platform to the market.
  • Incorporating customer and market insights into the product and highlighting the value these features deliver to end customer workloads with an aligned roadmap
  • Creating internal and external targeted collateral that showcases the goodness of Intel products in the context of real customer deployments, customer/developer ease of use (UX/DX) and workloads.
  • Path finding opportunities: Identifying emerging industry technology trends, developing new business or project proposals, determining technical feasibility, validating customer interest and driving investment decisions and action plans.



Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science /Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related technical degree.
  • 6+ years of experience of software experience in the Client, data center, cloud and/or networking domains with roles in product management, engineering, and program management
  • 3+ years of experience in AI/ML technologies.
  • 3+ years developing and bringing to market software solutions
  • 3+ years of experience in driving programs across organizations.
  • 5+ years of experience interacting with customers in the design and deployment of successful solutions
  • High performing Grade 9 candidates will also be considered.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in the above technical degrees
  • Connections and experience working directly with CSPs, ISVs, and the Edge/Cloud Ecosystem
