Job summary
The Red Hat Services Portfolio Management team is looking for a Senior Solutions Manager focused on product management to join us in the U.S. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the life cycle of one or more solutions from business case prioritization, through design, to launch and enablement. You will have a key role in the definition of our services portfolio strategy. As a Senior Solutions Manager, you will work closely with senior technical and business associates globally within Red Hat, our partners, and our customers to identify opportunities and create repeatable services solutions and methodologies to address these opportunities. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop, own, and implement global solutions vision and roadmap, ensuring its alignment with Red Hat's solutions portfolio strategy
  • Guide global solutions development from conception to launch and oversee solutions life cycle management, including in-market management, versioning, e.g., upgrades or enhancements, and end-of-life implementation
  • Develop and present rigorous data-driven business cases for solutions
  • Help with return on investment (ROI) analysis and develop content to help customers make the business case for our solutions; work with technical and marketing teams to develop customer evidence and map them to emerging use cases for solutions
  • Lead one or more global cross-functional solutions teams and coordinate integrated solutions development across solutions technology practices, consulting services, and business teams
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration with the Consulting, Training, Engineering, Support, and other teams to deliver high-value solutions on time
  • Use metrics to evaluate the success of and report on the solutions across all phases of the life cycle, including development schedule, demand generation, bookings, going live, and customer satisfaction
  • Guide awareness and enablement plans in the region to ensure that Red Hat's sales, consulting, and partner audiences can successfully position, scope, and deliver the solutions
  • Work with Red Hat's consulting and marketing teams to identify internal and external marketing opportunities and gaps at regional and global levels
  • Provide direction, content, and support for product marketing efforts including trade shows, webinars, and other demand generation activities
  • Work with Communities of Practice (CoPs) to gather new ideas for solutions and to incorporate feedback


Required skills

  • 7+ years of product or solutions management or marketing experience along with experience collaborating on and contributing to strategy, planning, development, and marketing integration for IT services and solutions
  • 3+ years of experience in the technology industry, including specific experience in guiding adoption of emerging cloud and application technologies and practices, e.g., Kubernetes, containers, n-tiered application architecture, service-oriented architecture (SOA), DevOps, or microservices; consulting and services delivery experience is a plus
  • General understanding of Red Hat's portfolio and underlying technologies
  • General understanding of hybrid cloud market, architecture, and the role of Kubernetes and containers in hybrid clouds
  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts and initiatives in a compelling manner to audiences ranging in size, background, and responsibility to guide buy-in, adoption, and engagement
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, motivated, inventive, professional, approachable, creative; competent leader and problem solver
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or engineering or bachelor's degree in business administration with demonstrated technical expertise; Master's degree is a plus
  • Flexibility to work in uncertain situations and find creative solutions; start up experience is a plus
