Job Summary

As part of the Enterprise Data Science and Analytics organization, you will have the opportunity to create and implement automated, intelligent, enterprise-wide digital automations to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency. The Senior Product Owner position will be responsible for leading 1 or more of the Planning, Development, or Support functions for deploying and running automations. The Senior Product Owner will create and implement intelligent automation solutions that improve operational effectiveness and efficiency for Bread Financial. The Senior Product Owner is expected to be thoughtful, innovative, and technologically savvy with a keen interest in business transformation.

Job Description

The Senior Product Owner will lead product/service development for assigned processes, fulfilling the product owner role within an agile development framework. The Senior Product Owner will support multiple centers of excellence and product/service models including process automation, new tool adoption, interaction analysis and enterprise reporting. Essential job functions include Planning, Development and Support. The Senior Product Owner will be knowledgeable of the toolsets used. The Senior Product Owner will be aware of industry-leading Natural Language Processing tools and ensure continued alignment and excellence compared to industry expectations. 

Planning – The Senior Product Owner will work with enterprise partners to understand opportunities and level of effort in order to plan new reports. queries and models. The Senior Product Owner will review assigned opportunities with the Steering Committee, gain prioritization of development in alignment with Enterprise objectives and influence leadership as needed to meet targets. The Senior Product Owner will contribute to the vision for the product/service, manage backlogs and perform market research to ensure continuous improvement and deployment of market-leading, innovative solutions. The Senior Product Owner will present findings from these activities and report back to Enterprise Data Science & Analytics leadership and Steering Committee, provide recommendations and establish next steps.

Development – The Senior Product Owner will define requirements, success criteria, testing and configuration of Natural Language Processing solutions.

Support – The Senior Product Owner will create ongoing monitoring and reporting of Natural Language Processing model performance. The Senior Product Owner will appropriately update the value model for existing models, identify opportunities to maximize performance and support change requests to deliver on commitments. The Senior Product Owner will be expected to: 

- Interpret data, analyze results, research & investigate

- Complete defined operational functions

- Provide End User Support

Reports to: Senior Manager or Director

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: Normal office environment, some travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Analytics

Four to Five years of experience

Preferred Experience:

Degree Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

Area of Study: Technology, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Analytics or equivalent work experience

Six years of work experience preferred
