Overview
We are growing our Product Leadership team! The Senior Product Manager - E-commerce will join a team of three PMs and our Chief Product Officer to support the growth of Mixbook products worldwide. You’ll own product discovery and delivery of new, high-quality product experiences, features, and innovations that drive customer delight, satisfaction, and revenue. As part of our Product Leadership team, your mission will be to enable our customers to unleash their creativity and allow a simple, fun, innovative way of sharing their stories through beautiful designs and creative flexibility.
Location
This is a US-based remote position with quarterly travel to the San Francisco Bay area.
Job Description
Reporting directly to our Chief Product Officer, this position will focus on the overall shopping experience. Your role will involve having a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and will ensure a delightfully smooth path to purchase. You will define our customers’ experience both for web and mobile shopping platforms, partnering with other departments to ensure all cross-functional tools are well-enabled and deployed for usage. You will lead others with care, carrying out our core values while demonstrating a high level of communication, collaboration, and commitment in all that you do.
Current Objectives
- Simplify the user experience to improve customer conversion throughout the funnel
- Launch a new and captivating merchandising experience that elevates both physical and digital products
- Create a new search and browser experience for the design selection experience
What You’ll Do
- Develop a deep empathy and understanding of the Mixbook audience by regularly connecting with customers and generating new, data-driven insights
- Work closely with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-impact, revenue driving projects that have short and long term business impact
- Review and conduct research, competitive analysis, customer feedback, market sizing, technology assessment and modeling
- Advocate for the customers, always focusing on their needs and potential benefits
- Work closely with team members in UI, design and engineering groups to provide them accurate, in-depth and concise stories, use-cases and requirements
- Establish success metrics (KPIs) for product and feature launches
- Proactively monitor and communicate performance and conversion of products launched and how they can be optimized on an ongoing basis
- Remove and unblock impediments for product engineering and design team, focusing on delivering and launching great products
- Provide product leadership, and direct project teams in the delivery of high-quality products within short timeframes
What You’ll Need
- 8+ years of overall product experience with 5+ years of consumer E-commerce product management
- Previous experience designing or optimizing consumer Checkout/Payments
- Experience working in online shopping, merchandising and checkout in a consumer e-commerce space highly preferred (and previous work with mobile another huge plus!)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, Business discipline preferred
- Demonstrated experience in identifying customer and business requirements, communicating those into a product vision, and rallying the execution team around that vision
- Working knowledge of databases and technology (we aren't leveraging a platform like Shopify, everything is built by us.)
- Ability to work with cross functional teams (Marketing, Finance, UI, Visual Design, Engineering, Customer Service)
- Ability to quickly analyze a product opportunity and make a strong recommendation on whether or not we should prioritize
- Understanding of the personalized photo product industry is a plus
- Passionate about customer experience and design
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills for identifying market opportunities
- Strong communicator - both oral and written
