We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the productization of data science work within and across product teams. The Greenlight Data Science team is responsible for innovating on core business and customer problems, using advanced modeling techniques, applied machine learning, and deep insights on how data can be used to power solutions for the business.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading Greenlight in delivering best-in-class applied data science solutions, enabling product teams with scalable production data pipelines and machine learning capabilities. Working with Product, Marketing, Risk, Compliance, and Engineering teams, you will use an evidence-based approach to understand the current customer and market behaviors, identify new opportunities to apply data science, and launch new solutions to grow the business. 

This is the perfect opportunity for someone passionate about building innovative data products in financial technology - you’ll be expected to develop strong opinions about Greenlight’s data and the value delivered to customers, identifying opportunities to enable products across the entire portfolio with data-powered products and services. You’re a great fit if you have a deep understanding of applied data science, effective strategies to build a data science platform for other teams to build on top of, and a strong drive to fundamentally solve business and customer problems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the entire product development lifecycle - learning quickly and iteratively through Product Discovery, and coordinating continuous delivery of value through an agile Product Delivery cycle. You will have experience quickly identifying customer problems and driving decision-making through customer empathy, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and AB testing. You’ll also have familiarity with the techniques to validate that the models and approaches that the data science team is applying will work in production environments, and how to coordinate delivery of these solutions across product and platform engineering teams.

This role is responsible for developing a strong product vision of all applied data science capabilities at Greenlight and becoming immersed within the agile development team to execute on this vision.

What you will be doing:

• Dig deep, ruthlessly prioritize - Dive into internal consumer data, evaluate third party data providers, conduct and leverage user research, and juggle multiple priorities from multiple stakeholders to gather evidence that informs your decisions
• Ship Fast, Learn Fast - Inform product decisions with quantitative and qualitative data on user behavior and experimentation (e.g. a/b testing, survey data, usability studies). Transform high-level business objectives into clear and actionable data science projects, working with stakeholders across the business to ensure viability 
• Measure - Identify your goals and metrics to drive prioritization and timely delivery of products and experiments. Develop a set of KPIs and reporting and analytics to monitor, and report product trends. Quickly iterate based on insights from your analysis to continuously improve upon your KPIs
• Lead - Own the business success of data science products across the business, and lead product initiatives from inception through execution working across functional teams like risk, compliance, engineering, design, and marketing

What you should bring:

• 5+ years experience as a product manager in applied data science and/or data products. Fintech, mobile b2c and/or card payments experience preferred
• You have great product and business instincts and use that expertise as the foundation for your product work
• You are fascinated by modern financial technology and data science capabilities, and eager to find ways to apply new technologies to old problems in a way that delights boths parents and kids
• You are insatiably curious about consumer behavior and desire to learn about those behaviors from talking to customers, gathering data, and using other resources to develop a hypothesis and validate it
• You are highly analytical, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data to identify behavioral insights
• Working cross-functionally is a way of life for you. You thrive in environments where you must bring different disciplines and points of view together and balance competing priorities and deadlines
• You act. You know how to make things happen and figure out workarounds when the team hits roadblocks. You anticipate and plan for potential major problems
