About the Creation Platform Mission
Spotify is a global community of over 250 million music fans and artists, and now podcasters. It’s always been our mission to make audio more accessible, and create a new and wonderful way for creators and fans to connect with each other.
We have three platforms that help us deliver a great creator experience: Anchor (the platform that allows you to create, distribute, monetize, and grow a podcast, all for free), Spotify for Podcasters (the platform that makes it easy to understand and engage with your listeners on Spotify), and Greenroom (the platform that allows anyone to stream or listen to live audio).

About the team:
We are a group passionate about the future of audio and podcasting, laser-focused on re-positioning Spotify from being a traditional 1-way broadcaster, to become a true interactive marketplace between 50 million creators and a billion users.
We are structured into 4 product areas all focused on delivering the best experience for audio creators. Your specific team will be responsible for equipping as many creators as possible with the right tools to deepen their relationship with their audience, directly laddering up to Spotify’s goal to serve 50M creators.
Some of the problem spaces you’ll be working on: analytics, sharing, interactivity between creators and their audiences, content discovery
What you'll do:
- You’ll partner closely with product and engineering to design, test, and launch products that will help our creators understand and connect with their listeners
- You’ll lead projects to deeply understand how podcast creators find, grow, and engage their audience
- Apply big-picture thinking to break down open-ended opportunities into meaningful next steps and find new opportunities for work that span across our organizational boundaries
- Work across creator-facing surfaces and more technical spaces, bringing the needs of our creators with you as you explore
- Help shape the culture of our growing design team that’s central to the podcasting strategy at Spotify
Who you are:
- At least 7+ years of relevant design experience in a fast-paced environment
- A creator yourself or deeply passionate about podcasts and building tools for creators
- Have a sense of humor & no ego
- You have strong opinions, loosely held
- Are experienced in conducting user research and usability testing, and you love using data (qualitative and quantitative) to inform your decision-making
- You’re passionate about experimentation and a/b testing to optimize the best experience for our creators
- You can bring clarity and insight to problems that are broad and ambiguous in scope, integrating user, business, and technical constraints into a compelling narrative
- Someone who can ruthlessly prioritize and execute. You are comfortable optimizing for speed and knowing when we should sweat the details vs what we can fix forward
