System1 is looking for a technical product manager to lead the roadmap and execution of products and systems that manage System1’s overall traffic quality. We are a fast-growing and profitable company looking to scale and integrate our internal platforms to keep pace with the business. The ideal person is highly motivated, accustomed to a fast-paced environment, and has a strong understanding of evolving business needs. This role will report directly to the VP of Product Management and help build out a strong, goal-oriented, agile development team.

The Role You Will Have

Lead technical requirements, product development, and launch of traffic quality products, systems, and features
Work cross functionally with development teams to define and deliver reporting and data tracking solutions
Deeply understand factors that determine traffic quality to balance business profitability and compliance
Communicate effectively across all business lines on all matters related to traffic quality
Manage scrum process, including sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and request management
Become a subject matter expert on privacy regulations, legal requirements, and help develop PII approaches
Own product documentation and proactively communicate information to relevant stakeholders

What You Will Bring

3+ years of technical product management experience, especially in managing traffic quality for high-traffic sites
SQL experience required
Deep business and technical knowledge of bot detection, privacy, GRPR, CCPA, consent management platforms (CMP), 3rd party compliance requirements
Strong requirement writing experience
Critical and analytical thinking skills
Demonstrated prior experience building, shipping, and supporting production code as or alongside engineers
Excellent written, verbal, and leadership skills
Prior ad tech experience a plus

Mattick recently took a course through Coursera on machine learning, and the timing could not have been better. He was able to balance his work at System1 with assignments and studying, and now, he’s implementing what he learned on the job. Currently, he and the data science team are working on an algorithm to optimize System1’s advertising on a new network. Their custom-built machine learning infrastructure makes it easy to deploy new algorithms and track performance.

Because our infrastructure is built for our needs, we are able to iterate, make more complex models and adapt to future requests quickly. It’s very rewarding!
