Principal Product Manager, OpenStack Security

The Red Hat Cloud Platforms Business is looking for a Product Manager to join our growing team focused on Red Hat OpenStack Platform. In this role, you will work with our engineering teams to steer the security roadmap for Red Hat OpenStack. You will also collaborate with the broader product management team on cross-portfolio security strategy and initiatives. You will fit right in if you enjoy solving challenging technical problems and managing complex projects. You will engage with industry and open source communities related to OpenStack as well as Kubernetes and container security. What you will do
- Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap and delivery plans, in collaboration with engineering to address Red Hat OpenStack security requirements for enterprise and telecommunications customers
- Define and document market problems and opportunities and promote customer and partner personas, user stories, and business cases as part of the specification of our offerings and the socialization process
- Work closely with the Product Marketing team to develop positioning and go-to-market strategies; serve as an advocate to inform and educate the user community
- Maintain solid relationships and stay in regular communication with Sales, Professional Services, Quality Engineering, Documentation, and Customer Support teams
- Present Red Hat Cloud security roadmap and strategy in industry and open source community events
What you will bring
- 3+ years of enterprise software industry experience in product management, software engineering, technical marketing, or an equivalent technical product or customer-facing role
- Experience with OpenStack and container technologies, e.g., Kubernetes, Docker
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, time management, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and strong ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
- Proven record of influencing others without having direct authority over them
- Previous experience working with agile and on a remote or distributed team
- Familiarity with modern security or DevSecOps practices
The following are considered a plus:
- Experience with Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Virtualization or other enterprise-level virtualization solutions
- Experience with security certifications and compliance frameworks like Common Criteria, ETSI, and FedRAMP
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and/or the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) ecosystem of cloud-native technologies, Open Infrastructure Foundation projects (e.g. OpenStack, Katacontainers), or other open source projects
- Knowledge of distributed, complex, and highly scalable systems
- Experience with government, telecommunications, or large enterprises as customers in cloud solutions
