We have an exciting opportunity for a "hands-on," data-driven Lead TPM that enjoys the challenges of collaborating to drive results that are pivotal to our Disney Parks, Experiences, and products. The team is responsible for supporting the technology product roadmap behind our beautiful state-of-the-art parks, retail stores, and hotels in US and International parks. The team develops technology such as Payment, Inventory Management, Sales services, and more! You will partner closely with multiple teams - Engineering, product management, finance, and operations to define roadmaps and requirements and ultimately measure results for critical guest initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drives capability roadmap and defines operational excellence.
- Develop a vision that improves our processes and overall efficiency.
- Provides customer and leadership support in product and project management, and engineering leadership families.
- Mentors junior team members regarding all aspects of the program life cycle and provide mentorship to our engineering teams on roadmap capability, prioritization and deliverables.
- Acts as a liaison between business users and the implementation team, communicating appropriately and effectively with co-workers, customers, and supervisors, maintaining awareness of project status and any potential delay, situation, or concern that may affect the outcome of the projects.
- Conducts Program/project meetings at leadership and executive director levels. Develops and leads a project change control process as needed to ensure the program team operates within the scope of the change approval process.
- Continually reviews available resources to maintain first-hand knowledge of where resources can be best allocated. Reevaluates current resources to resolve project resource surplus and shortfalls.
- Establishes clear ownership of program/project, ensures team members have the tools needed, and provides timely feedback.
- Proactively communicates portfolio status, issues, and risks to executive leadership.
- Conducts regular status meetings with team & partners, continuously keeping customers' needs and requirements in view.
- Works collaboratively with Engineering leaders to maintain detailed knowledge of product capabilities, and to ensure clear communications between program/project teams and its stakeholders to ensure alignment through its lifecycle.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience. Education, Licensure and Certifications:
- Four-year college degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field or relevant work experience.
- 10 + years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, Engineer, or Engineering Manager working with user interfaces, web services, databases, and cloud infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrate a track record of consistent and measurable delivery of large cross-functional and high-profile initiatives.
- Strong technical knowledge with experience leading technical initiatives that span several teams and functional areas.
- Experience in synthesizing complex or diverse project data and information.
