Meeting your future team:Join Collibra’s Product Management team:

We seek someone with experience and expertise in managing the development and delivery of platform services. In this role, you will manage a team of product managers and help them form a product vision and execute their feature roadmaps. To be successful in this role, you should have 

You will collaborate with primary stakeholders, including: 

  • Our product and technical teams, including product management, architecture, engineering, testing, operations, design, research, and more
  • Our business teams, including marketing, sales and pre-sales, customer success, professional services, and more
  • Our ecosystem partners and other service providers
  • Our customers’ business and technical teams 

You will report directly to the VP of Product for Core Platform.  

Directors of Product Management at Collibra have three essential qualities:First, you exhibit the traits and values of a great PM:  

  • You build empathy for our customers—both internal and external—and understand their unique needs
  • You balance technical, user, and business goals and make informed decisions about which products and features we ship and how they should work 
  • You practice the entire product development lifecycle of validating problems, exploring solutions, facilitating team discussions, scoping work, iterating to completion, and shipping new or improved features and functionality 

Second, you are a mentor, role model, and enabler for the PMs you manage: 

  • You embody our values and help your people live them too
  • You grow your PMs’ skills, expertise, and effectiveness
  • You help them understand how to progress in their careers—both at Collibra and beyond 
  • You provide clear communication, set actionable and achievable goals, and give timely feedback to help them be their best selves 
  • You monitor the progress of your PMs and their squads and can adjust scope, refine their mission, or expand their focus as needed 
  • You help recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new PMs for your team and the larger Product org 
  • You scale the product function at Collibra, evolve the practice, and find new ways to deliver against our goals 

Third, you drive the strategic direction for one of several product domains: 

  • You work closely with Product and Engineering leadership on prioritizing and shaping product initiatives
  • You collaborate with your peers across the company to research, validate, align, and fulfill your product goals  
  • You contribute to the company strategy as a critical member of the Product org 

You Have:

  • Experience working in deeply technical SaaS products and services at enterprise scale
  • A proven track record of successful product launches in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with Agile, Continuous Integration/Development, DevOps, GitOps, and SDLC models 
  • 7+ years of experience in a product management role.
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience leading a product management team.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent related working experience is required

Your measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will: 
    • Get to know the platform org, our teams, and important initiatives
  • Within your third month, you will: 
    • Understand the current state of each team’s work and their plans
    • Begin tracking progress, mitigating risks, and managing delivery to finish on time as expected
  • Within your sixth month, you will: 
    • Own the long-term vision for all your teams
    • Have at least one release per team in production
