What you'll be able to do:
Ford Pro Tech -Data Analytics (DA) is a global team responsible for the strategy delivery of 360 data services, modern business intelligence, and advanced analytics solutions powering Ford Pro. This enables Ford Pro to operate as an analytics-driven business in a driven marketplace!We are seeking experienced Data Analytics professionals to add to our product leadership team to drive the next generation of Commercial Business!

As a Product Owner, you will have the responsibility of leading solution development and delivery of one or more Pro 360 data products. You will partner with a Product Manager to jointly run the product to successful delivery.

You will utilize your technical expertise in data, analytics, cloud technologies, and analytic software tools to identify the best designs, improve business processes, and generate measurable business outcomes.

You will work with Data Engineering teams from within DA, across the Pro Tech portfolio and additional Ford organizations such as GDIA (Global Data Insight Analytics), Enterprise Connectivity, Ford Customer Service Division, Ford Credit, etc.
The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in design and implementation of large scale data platforms/solutions
  • 7+ years of experience in SQL, data transformations, migration, statistical analysis, and troubleshooting across more than one Database Platform (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Amazon RDS, GCP BigQuery)
  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross-functional, agile product team environment/analytic delivery team.

Our preferred requirements:

  • Master's Degree in related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, IT)
  • Leadership experience in defining and executing enterprise level strategy on building data storage infrastructure, data pipelines, data warehouses, data lakes, data APIs and self-service tooling for diverse types of data (structured and unstructured), and diverse workloads/dataflows (transactional, analytics, Machine Learning pipelines)
  • Experience in data modeling or data architecture in transactional and operational reporting and analytical (EDW, Data Lake, NoSQL) solutions.
  • Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses
  • Technical Experience in defining and implementing data access patterns for analytical and operational workloads, across on-premise, cloud-based platforms.
  • Familiarity working with Automotive OEM/ Connected vehicle data relevant infrastructure
  • 5+ years ETL/ELT programming skills including experience with pipeline orchestration tools, logging, monitoring alerting, deep troubleshooting, and automated testing deployments
  • 5+ years' experience with on-prem data technologies building out data pipelines with Informatica/Data Stage/SSIS
  • 2+ years' experience with cloud data technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure) building out data pipelines in a highly distributed and fault-tolerant manner.
  • 2+ years of experience in Automotive, Transportation, Digital Business, or Analytics Consulting
