Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range
$121,300.00 - $200,100.00

What Is the Opportunity?

This position in Select Accounts (Business Insurance) will partner with senior regional leadership to manage profit and growth for a region. This role takes an active responsibility in formulating and collaborating on local and countrywide strategies in conjunction with regulatory, actuarial, and field partners. A Select PM 3 leads a team that focuses on competitor behaviors, marketplace dynamics, pricing segmentation, and line and segment level analysis. This position also participates in line of business strategies at a countrywide level, while collaborating with field leadership to implement decisions at a state and regional level.What Will You Do?

  • Product Management lead role in a collaborative relationship with field partners that supports local strategies.
  • Leadership of 3-5 individuals in a territory that typically contains several states, which may be complex regulatory environments.
  • Hiring authority and influential participant in the development of Product Management Analysts.
  • Take on a leadership role within the region in the development of pricing and growth strategies on multiple products in 3-6 lines of business including 15 segments across multiple territories in multiple states.
  • Initiate strategies based on analysis of data with input from field partners.
  • Take on a formal leadership role in the management of a countrywide line of business.
  • Responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of interacting variables in marketplace execution.
  • Based on Travelers and industry information, formulate conclusions and make strategic recommendations.
  • Lead a team in the formulation of recommendations based on analysis and interpretation of rates, data, and trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, mathematics, management information, finance, actuarial science, economics or other analytics related field preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 6 years product management experience preferred.
  • Thorough P&C industry knowledge.
  • Experience in senior level "general management" functions.
  • Typically has in depth knowledge/experience in one Commercial product line.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Pricing and Actuarial techniques.
  • Ability to Build, Motivate, and Develop Team Members Collectively and Individually.
  • Strong Analytical Ability.
  • Problem Solving Skills.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships with business partners and across the enterprise.
  • Leading others to develop strong working relationships with business partners including business service centers, information technology, claim, actuarial, etc.

What is a Must Have?

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Four years of experience in data analytics required.
  • One year managing others required.
