The Role

Interested in Product but don’t know how to start? Come join Cedar as an Associate Product Manager! This role has been designed for candidates that are looking for the opportunity to delve into product management. You will receive personal and professional mentorship from Cedar’s product team and learn the foundations of the product development process, such as:

  • Discovery: Develop and help lead discovery sessions with the support of a Product Team member and proactively identify potential issues that need to be addressed early on
  • Development: Create a detailed product spec and user stories that are clear to your cross-functional design, engineering, and data science team
  • Launch: Design a feature rollout process and collaborate cross-functionally with Product Success, Product Operations, and Commercial for a successful release
  • Measurement Strategy: Learn how to measure a feature’s success and work with Data Science to identify new opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Develop product specs that outline functional requirements, design and technical considerations, and measurement strategies for the MVP of a feature
  • Create clear user stories and acceptance criteria for your squad’s Design, Data Science, and Engineering counterparts to execute on
  • Devise testing strategies to increase confidence in a feature’s success and prioritize the most critical issues to be addressed prior to launch
  • Define and execute on a go-to-market strategy that successfully rolls out the feature to our users
  • Cross functionally collaborate with Cedar’s Commercial team to socialize feature benefits and provide guidance on the adoption process
  • Monitor feature performance and identify potential enhancements for future iterations based on quantitative analysis and qualitative feedback from our users

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years of general work experience. No prior product experience necessary
  • Strong interpersonal, project management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
  • Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
  • Curious about user problems and proactively willing to investigate on issues
  • Embodies a can-do attitude and passionate about serving patients

Bonus Qualifications

  • Prior knowledge of the healthcare space, specifically within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) space
