Role Overview
As a Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) - Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) Engineer, you will be part of a global cross-functional team driving yield ramp for HBM/DRAM products from New Product Introduction (NPI) through high-volume manufacturing and maturity. In this role, you will perform in-depth electrical failure analysis to identify root causes of backend failures and enable fast, data-driven resolution. You will leverage advanced debug techniques, data analytics, and AI-assisted tools to accelerate failure isolation, improve engineering efficiency, and reduce manual effort. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will collaborate closely with global teams to build strong technical depth and problem-solving capabilities while delivering best-in-class HBM/DRAM products that meet customer quality and reliability expectations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform deep-dive root cause analysis for HBM/DRAM backend electrical failures
  • Conduct electrical characterization and fault isolation using in-house bench testers and advanced debug methodologies to localize defects for Physical Failure Analysis (PFA)
  • Apply data-driven and AI-assisted approaches to improve failure analysis efficiency and hypothesis convergence
  • Maintain EFA lab operations, tools, and failure sample tracking in compliance with audit and quality requirements
  • Partner with Frontend Process and Quality teams to drive corrective actions for yield improvement
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering (PE) and Test Solution Engineering (TSE) teams to analyze test-related yield issues and support shift-left optimization
  • Work with Global Quality (GQ) to ensure product quality meets customer and reliability requirements
  • Support yield learning across NPI, qualification, ramp, and mature production through structured analysis and technical leadership

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor ' s or Master ' s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Microelectronics Engineering , or an engineering discipline with relevant courses
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem - solving skills
  • Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, circuit design, layout, and schematics
  • Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Perl, C/C++) is an advantage
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly in English
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate ownership, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams
  • Strong interest in applying AI, automation, and data analytics to scale yield engineering workflows
