We are looking for a Product UX/UI Designer to join our product team and help design, improve, and scale digital products for a leading African telecom & fintech group, with a strong focus on mobile transactional experiences and the client's flagship mobile merchant/agent app.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong product mindset, excellent UX fundamentals, and solid UI execution capabilities. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside product managers, developers, business stakeholders, and marketing teams to create scalable, user-centric mobile experiences across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities Product UX Design- Understand user needs, product challenges, and business constraints
- Design intuitive, scalable, and efficient user journeys
- Create user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
- Contribute to product thinking and UX decision-making
- Apply UX best practices around usability, accessibility, information architecture, and interaction logic
- Identify friction points and continuously improve the user experience
- Prepare and conduct user testing sessions
- Build feedback frameworks and UX questionnaires
- Analyze user behaviors and product usage patterns
- Translate user insights into actionable product improvements
- Collaborate with product teams to prioritize UX enhancements
- Design clean, structured, and consistent mobile interfaces
- Produce high-quality UI mockups in Figma
- Respect and extend existing design standards and components
- Ensure visual quality while maintaining a pragmatic product-oriented approach
- Deliver realistic and implementation-ready interfaces
- Work within and contribute to the existing design system
- Structure components and variants in Figma
- Ensure consistency across products and countries
- Understand maintainability and scalability principles
- Collaborate with developers on Design System → Code workflows
- Work closely with developers to ensure feasibility and consistency
- Participate in product discussions and functional trade-offs
- Understand mobile technical constraints and integrate them into designs
- Contribute to improving design/product/development workflows
- Integrate AI tools into design and production workflows
- Use AI to improve velocity, consistency, and exploration of UX/UI solutions
- Maintain a critical and structured approach when leveraging AI tools
- 3–5+ years of experience in UX/UI Design or Product Design
- Experience designing mobile applications or evolving digital products
- Previous experience in product companies, startups, agencies, or software factories
- Experience in telecom or super apps is a plus
- Strong ability to design complex user journeys
