Job Description

Peterson Cat has a need for a Product Support Quotation Specialist who can be based at any of our locations.

SUMMARY

This position provides coordination between parts, service and sales departments regarding machine repairs. Will also help with daily functions within the parts, service, and sales departments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Work with sales reps, parts department and service departments to help centralize quote writing and research to ensure proper compliance with Caterpillar pricing programs and most cost-effective repair options. 

• Write and transmit quotes to customers and storing quotes in CRM Parts and Service Quoter to allow easy future retrieval if needed.

• Keep abreast of all major initiatives by Caterpillar including pricing programs, new products and services offered by allied companies.

• Maintain a high level of communication between service, parts, rental and sales departments and pass important customer information between departments as needed.

• Understand and quote all need repairs from Valu-Gard, TA1, TA2 and CTS Inspections.

• Quote CCR, Cat Certified Rebuilds and assure that all required updates are performed during rebuilds.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.  

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED; and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Service experience specifically as a technician or service writer and some experience in parts department and sales experience are needed.

None required

The pay range for this position is dependent on location and experience. In California, the hourly pay range is $35.00 - $40.00. In Oregon, the hourly pay range is $30.00 - $35.00. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.
