The Role

Job Description SummaryAt Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
The Product Support Engineer will demonstrate accountability to coordinate and lead services technology activities, with main focus on Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) process and Entry Into Service (EIS) readiness for NPI program. Additionally, will contribute to ensure the continuous operation of our fielded products capturing products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and other performance parameters.
The PSE role is the voice of the customer within GE internal organizations; will act as technical point of contact for external customers, TCH/airframers/airlines/MRO shops. The PSE also translates the internal GE to an external communication that is clear and transparent, keeping the customer at the forefront and ensuring they have the most relevant information to keep their fleet safe and operational.Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) plan definition and execution.

  • Define and maintain content of Instruction for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) for relevant modules, including technical manuals definition, author Service Bulletins and customer technical communications.

  • Support fielded engines lines to ensure continuous operation of our modules, with main focus on reliability monitoring, fleet issues and field investigation and root cause analysis.

  • Disposition to field service requests coming from customers and MRO shops (24/7 AOG support, DRs, Inquiries,…) with definition of technical recommendation for serviceability.

  • Work collaboratively within a module team (global PSE, repair, design) to provide guidance on field problem resolutions, corrective action implementation, and produce results to meet customer needs.

  • Report to leadership on execution of fleet management milestones.

  • Act as technical interface with customer to build mutually beneficial relationships through teleconferences and the annual face-to-face sessions.

Qualifications/Requirements   

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or other “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited university.

  • Previous experience in engineering position in aerospace industry.

  • Experience in fleet management field issues resolution.

  • Good analytical skills and knowledge of aero-engines architectures and applications.

  • Able to prioritize work, plan milestones and communicate effectively to external customers and auditors.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.

  • Work Visa, according with local regulation, is required.

Desired Characteristics

  • Proven experience of processes related to instructions for continued airworthiness.

  • Knowledge of aeronautical Certification rules, ie EASA Part 21 and Part 145.

  • Experience in developing and delivering customer centric solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
