How This Role Impacts Live Oak and its People
The Production Engineering role will provide technical expertise and guidance on triaging and troubleshooting production issues for the Bank’s internal and vendor development projects.
What You’ll Do at Live Oak
You'll play a key role in ensuring critical issues are being resolved in a timely manner so Live Oak Bank can continue to operate.
Regularly consume resources pertaining to the banking industry and Live Oak's business.
Champion and support improvements to processes, tools, and practices utilized by your team.
How You’ll Do It
You'll work on an engineering support team, performing many of the activities below:
Hands on experience with monitoring tools like Cloudwatch, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog or similar monitoring tools creating dashboards, alerting, and reports
Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
Strong technical documentation capabilities and focus on detail
Experience with Linux/Unix, disaster recovery, and failover processes is desired
Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving skills and exhibits strong leadership skills
Experience with Co-ordination between upstream applications to resolve incidents
Grasp innovative technologies and can adapt to rapid shifts in priorities
Applied AWS/Cloud experience preferred
Applied DevOps experience
Experience with Terraform, AWS, Git, and Python is a plus
Experience with Gitlab
Correlate environment conditions and metrics to application events
Experience debugging problems in a distributed system
Experience with Salesforce, Genesys, or Telephony is a plus
Required and Preferred Experience
3+ years working on a production support team or equivalent experience.
3+ years' experience working with enterprise-scale platforms and architectures
2+ years' experience supporting and troubleshooting in AWS production environments
Experience with ticket tracking systems, like ServiceNow, Salesforce, ZenDesk and/or Jira.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with Salesforce or other CRMs.
Knowledge or experience working with tools to diagnose issues.
Experienced working on issues that require financial & technical knowledge and skills.

The base pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
