As our new Product Support Engineer, you will be part of a team that ensures the serviceability of our Vacuum Products within Agilent’s Spectroscopy & Vacuum Division, from new product introduction to obsolescence and provides support to our service teams and customers around the globe. This portfolio of solutions includes Turbo Molecular, Ion & Primary pumps as well as related vacuum accessories and a Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector. The focus of the activities is however going to be around Turbo Molecular and Rotary Vane Pumps.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including process owners, Marketing, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure serviceability of newly introduced as well as released products within the product families of competence. This includes co-development of service strategies for single products, creation and set-up of spare parts and special tooling, definition of safety stock requirements, evaluation of financial impacts of proposed solutions to services
• Capture and translate modifications of released products into service processes and procedures, to ensure alignment of installed base with the latest technology development
• Provide proactively specialized technical and process related support to our service network, composed out of internal Agilent employees as well as authorized service partners in all regions, with the goal to ensure smooth daily service operations
• Create and maintain service instructions, procedures and, service notes within Agilent’s Product Lifecycle maintenance system
• Develop and deliver trainings on product serviceability to internal and external customers
• Occasionally provide on-site assistance to external customers on the products of competence
This position is based in our plant in Torino (Leini), where partial remote work would be an option (up to 2 days a week).
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly-skilled individual with the following background:
• Technical engineering experience in Industrial Systems, Manufacturing or Automation industry
• Ideally a university degree in Physics, Chemical Physics or Mechatronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering or close
• Previous experience with / Knowledge of vacuum solutions would be a great plus
• Full proficiency in both Italian and English.
