Product & Strategy Analyst – Lending team
Hybrid in London or Germany
We’re looking for a Product & Strategy Analyst to join our DE Lending Proposition Team, a cross-functional group of product, tech, data science, and analytics experts. The team is responsible for shaping our lending strategy and delivering innovative solutions that empower small businesses across Germany.
Fast, flexible finance empowers small businesses to manage their cash flow better and seize opportunities – making their business and the economy stronger as a whole. At iwoca, we do just that. We help businesses get the funds they need, when they need it – often within minutes. We’ve already made several billion in funding available to over 150,000 businesses across Europe since we launched in 2012, and positioned ourselves as a leading Fintech innovator.
Our mission is to finance one million businesses. We’ll get there by continuing to make finance ever more relevant and accessible by combining cutting-edge technology, data science, and a 5-star customer service.
The DE Lending Proposition Team drives our lending strategy forward and owns the customer experience for small businesses in Germany. As an autonomous and cross-functional team, we develop new product features, optimise credit terms (e.g. pricing, credit limits, repayment schedules), and refine the digital lending journey for our German customers.
We work collaboratively across the business – including Credit Risk, Data Science, Customer Acquisition, and Commercial Strategy – to ensure our lending products meet customer needs and deliver strong commercial outcomes.
You’ll play a key role in improving the product experience for our customers in Germany – from identifying strategic opportunities and testing hypotheses, to launching and evaluating new product features.
You’ll help shape the future of our lending products by combining strategic thinking, analytical rigour, and product insight. Your focus will be on improving user journeys, enhancing product performance, and identifying growth opportunities through deep analysis and experimentation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and executing strategies to improve iwoca’s credit offering – including pricing, limits, and repayment options.
Identifying opportunities to introduce new features or products, ensuring strong alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
Refining user journeys and continuously seeking ways to improve customer satisfaction and product effectiveness.
Designing and running experiments to test new product ideas, and iterating based on customer feedback and performance data.
Building tools and dashboards that allow the wider team to monitor product performance and make data-informed decisions.
Drawing on both qualitative and quantitative insights to uncover key pain points and inform product development.
Collaborating with senior stakeholders to set strategic priorities and inform the long-term vision for iwoca’s German lending proposition.
Supporting seamless cross-functional execution by working closely with teams across the business, including Sales, Operations, Credit, and Commercial.
Essential:
Experience in a strategy, product, or analytical role within consultancy, tech, or finance.
A strong analytical background with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
A strong communicator and collaborator, with the ability to influence across functions and drive initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
A statistical mindset, including experience designing and analysing A/B or RCT tests
Hands-on experience working with complex data sets using SQL or Python for data analysis.
Bonus:
Solid understanding of lending or financial business models and key metrics, ideally with knowledge of finance or accounting principles.
Experience working with lending or credit products, particularly in a B2B context.
Experience with Bayesian statistics
A passion for helping small businesses thrive and a belief in iwoca’s mission.

What We Do
iwoca was founded to expand possibilities for small businesses.
At iwoca, we believe finance should feel like a superpower, not a headache. That’s why our founders, Chris and James, decided to create a solution custom-built for small businesses. One that strips out the hassle, gets to know what each business needs, and looks for opportunities rather than problems. One that provides access to finance where and when your business needs it.
Our partner integrations and our Lending API mean we can provide access to finance where and when small businesses need it. Our award winning credit risk engine help us make faster, more accurate credit decisions built around the performance of the business.
We are proud to be NACFB Lender of the year, Xero Financial Services App of the year and, most recently, winner of the £10m Banking Competition Remedies grant.
Since 2012, we’ve made funding available to over 50,000 businesses, from cafés to car dealers, salons to solicitors. But we’ve only just started. Our mission is to fund one million small businesses.
