About Role

Kava Labs is hiring for a Lead Product Manager for our R&D team. You will be ideating, researching, and delivering B2B greenfield products and go-to-market propositions while partnering cross-functionally to manage stakeholder communication and overall delivery. This is a full-time, remote position.

What You’ll Do.

• Use market research, lean experimentation, and customer discovery to create a roadmap, drive strategy, independently ideate, research, and deliver greenfield projects/products. 
• Create, present and execute go-to-market propositions.
• Lead R&D initiatives that shape our product’s future. 
• Understand our technology and product, oversee projects, deliver goals, and solve complex problems. 
• Collaborate with other department leaders from Engineering, Product and Design to execute the product life cycle. 
• Exhibit a high level of autonomy in ambiguous environments and are comfortable establishing and executing upon priorities with a strong sense of urgency. 
• Understand how to manage stakeholder conversations and proactively call out complex problems and solutions. 
• Navigate through stressful or ambiguous situations while continuing to deliver on goals while under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Identify, research and advocate for big strategic changes across products based on new, competitive and innovative information.

What We Look For.

• 5+ years product experience.
• 2+ years building greenfield products with cutting edge technologies (Examples: Blockchain, AI, etc.)
• Experience delivering innovative and differentiated products. 
• Experience using project management best practices. 
• Experience delivering backend products with technical end users, preferably B2B.
• Able to adapt and adjust in a high-stakes, high-growth, roll up your sleeves type of work.
• Demonstrated passion for cryptocurrency, fintech, and the Kava Labs mission. OR Good understanding of institutional finance, including how financial institutions operate.

Bonus Points.

• 1+ Years of experience building Web3 / Blockchain products.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Launched a successful MVP through acquisition. 
• Experience in AI (specifically training or “fine tuning” large models, or working with LLMs).
