This Position reports to:

Product Marketing Director ELSP/ELSB
 

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and execute product marketing strategies for Canada aligned with global strategy to meet business objectives. Each day you will lead go-to-market planning and execution, including launch readiness, sales enablement, and customer-facing support to drive sales and services performance. You will also support Product Management in optimizing the NEMA low-voltage distribution portfolio (load centers/breakers), including lifecycle management (development, pricing, profitability, and maintenance) to maximize ROI.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the Electrification division for Smart Buildings.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Strategy:

  • Lead product launch readiness end-to-end, including go-to-market plan, value proposition, competitive positioning, voice-of-customer input, pricing, stocking readiness, and training; advocate market needs to global teams and coordinate cross-functional execution.

  • Translate standards, market inputs, and customer needs into product roadmaps, specifications, and
    development/transfer business cases.

Sales Enablement :

  • Support Sales growth by delivering go-to-market activities, sales enablement, and
    customer-facing support (meetings, trade shows, quotations).

Analysis :

  • Analyze market size, trends, customer requirements, and competitors to identify gaps and position ABB’s offering effectively.

Product Offering:

  • Partner with Product Management to optimize the NEMA low-voltage distribution portfolio (load centers/breakers), ROI, and lifecycle performance (launch, maintenance, pricing, profitability).

  • Drive offering development and enhancements from project specification through launch, proposing differentiated solutions that meet customer needs.

Training :

  • Create and deliver product communications and training materials (technical + sales) for internal teams and external customers to improve sales efficiency.

Technical expertise :

  • Provide support on quality and resolution by monitoring warranty cases and key quality cost drivers and ensuring timely corrective actions.

Financial Targets:

  • Achieves product marketing targets and budgets by overseeing progress regularly and defining and implementing improvement plans as needed.

Relationship Building:

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.

ABB Representation:

  • Uphold ABB’s values and ensure compliance with the code of conduct, applicable
    regulations/standards, HSE requirements, and sustainability/circular-economy commitments while working cross-functionally (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, logistics).

  • Represent ABB on industry and standard committees upon assignment/nomination and as per needs.


Qualifications for the role

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in product management of NEMA low voltage distribution load centers/breakers and/or extensive knowledge or proven experience of low voltage distribution products

  • Possess an enhanced knowledge and experience of Canada Market, channel to market, launch strategies, the Canadian Electric Code and relevant product standard

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical)

  • Demonstrated knowledge in development and implementation of Marketing and Sales strategy for NEMA panel boards.

  • Sound technical knowledge of electrical distribution equipment.

  • You are at ease communicating in French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
