What you’ll contribute to
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Product Specialist to join our Product Planning & Development division in a Max Term role for 2 years.
The Product Planning & Development (PPD) Division oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all product activities to ensure new products are optimized to meet the evolving needs of customers.
The Product Specialist (Commercial Vehicles) is primarily responsible for assisting in the development of commercial vehicle model line-ups for Toyota, with the goal of delivering highly desirable products that maximize TMCA and dealer profitability while meeting sales and customer satisfaction targets.
This role is based in Altona with flexible work arrangements on offer. This role will require occasional travel, both overseas and interstate, approximately 4-5 times per year.
How you’ll make an impact

Execute product planning strategies for commercial vehicles and accessories to meet customer expectations, drive sales, and maximise profitability, following established policies.

Collaborate in developing innovative product planning processes to enhance product appeal, customer satisfaction, and sales.

Shape model line-ups and grade specifications for commercial vehicles using market insights and research, providing clear reports with actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

Keep stakeholders updated on project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and suggest proactive solutions.

Ensure clarity and accuracy of technical content on spec sheets and marketing materials for reliable product details.

Manage reporting systems to provide accurate, timely data supporting planning, budgeting, and forecasting decisions..

A degree in marketing, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Over 2 years of experience in marketing or product planning, ideally within the automotive sector.

A passion for cars, coupled with in-depth knowledge of automotive systems and technical terminology.

Strong understanding of the sales and marketing lifecycle, from strategy to execution.
-
Proven expertise in market research and financial analysis to support effective cost planning.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a knack for building strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.

Creative problem-solver with the ability to innovate and adapt strategies to meet market trends and business objectives.
