The Role

The Product Specialists will provide expert appliance consultation over the phone to fulfill the goal of delivering a luxury experience to our customers. The Product Specialist will build and maintain strong relationships with customers and follow-up, as needed, to build brand loyalty.

Primary Responsibilities

The primary function of the Product Specialist is to provide a luxurious introductory experience to customers interested in our products to set the tone of what they can come to expect from their relationship with Sub-Zero Group, Inc. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on building meaningful relationships, is excited by the opportunity to continually learn new things, and utilizes these qualities to assist customers through their purchasing process. Some key responsibilities may include:

  • Proactively reach out to customers interested in our brands to offer assistance and gather detailed information about their needs and project timeline.
  • Share expert knowledge regarding product features as well as design, specification and installation information.
  • Build rapport and nurture the customer relationship by following up at appropriate intervals.
  • Execute a seamless showroom handoff when the customer is ready to take the next step.
  • Continue to develop expert product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new product offerings.

Sub-Zero Group, Inc. offers a comprehensive and advanced training program that incorporates classroom, self-led, and hands-on experiential learning that provides robust support to ensure that employees are equipped to meet and exceed the demands of their role.

Hours will be from 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM CST.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in retail, sales, customer care, or design
  • Passion for cooking and kitchen appliance function and design
  • Experience using computer systems to track data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to employ active-listening skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and results-focused in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Ability to learn on-the-fly and be adaptable to both customer needs and shifting responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in an accessible and easy-to-understand manner
  • Experience in contact center or direct customer service or sales role
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
