Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for semiconductor backend test operations within the product team, applying deep product-engineering experience to guide the development of prescriptive analytics solutions
Review and validate the recommendations generated by the product, applying domain judgment to confirm they are correct and appropriate before they are acted upon by customer engineers
Partner with engineering and product teams to define requirements, validate models, and refine recommendation logic based on real-world test-floor behavior, equipment characteristics, and yield/excursion modes
Distinguish equipment-related contributions to yield, UPH, and uptime loss from process-related causes, translating that analysis into actionable product and engineering insights
Engage directly with customers at their sites to ensure effective deployment, adoption, and utilization of the product
Guide customers in integrating prescriptive Test Operations capabilities into their existing production and dispositioning workflows
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and act as the voice of the customer within the product team
Support pre-sales activities including demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements, and technical evaluations
Working Relationships:
This is a senior individual-contributor role with no direct reports. You will work within a matrixed team spanning Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, influencing cross-functional stakeholders to align on product direction and commercialization objectives, and acting as the on-the-ground link between our customers in the Philippines and the product organization.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
5+ years of experience as a product engineer (test product engineer) or equivalent role at a semiconductor IDM or OSAT
Hands-on experience with semiconductor backend test — test program characterization, yield analysis, test-data disposition, and the behavior and failure modes of test equipment (handlers and testers)
Deep understanding of the day-to-day product-engineering decisions this product is designed to support and automate, such as dispositioning yield and test excursions and determining equipment- versus process-related causes
Strong ability to translate technical domain knowledge into actionable product and engineering insights, and to exercise sound judgment when validating automated recommendations
Familiarity with test-floor metrics such as yield, UPH/throughput, and equipment uptime, and how they combine into effective output (good units per shift)
Comfortable with customer-facing work including on-site visits, training, and process consultation
Excellent communication skills; able to bridge engineering teams and customer operations
Based in the Philippines, with willingness to travel regularly within the region and occasionally internationally
