Job Description
Market Intelligence
- Deep understanding of the relevant market, customers and end-users in the region.
- Acquisition of relevant data and facts and transfer to the Business unit.
- Continuous monitoring and reporting on competitors’ activities and identify business opportunities.
- Define product service intervals / failure rates (EPOS data)
- Be regional market intelligence expert for his products (customers, competitors, pricing, services, coverage, etc.); transfer know-how to BU
- Support development of competitor cross-references
- Development of a marketing plan which includes all 5 P’s in consensus with MA-BU.
- Implementation of the regional marketing plan and success tracking of all planned measures.
Product
- Developing product specific business, tracking of product specific KPI's and necessary regional resources
- Executing regional launch concepts for new product / product program (e.g. midterm turnover plan, launch activities, marcom, sales concept, stock proposals)
- Dedicated support for locally important product segments
- Monitoring of competitive product activities
- Enabling own sales force (exception at wholesale); Information/training of competitive advantages to the sales team; adapt centrally provided presentations for local market needs
Pricing / costs
- Defining regional product positioning / tactical pricing (invoice and list price) by distribution channel in line with global price harmonization and MA/BU guidelines
- Supporting in the global / regional price harmonization
- Managing the continuous update of a price database which includes competition
- Supporting the definition of target costing.
- Responsibility for the regional product portfolio on the pricelist according to market needs and under consideration of turnover and gross margin targets (incl. part number reduction) in conjunction with the BU
Distribution / Customers
- Development of channel-specific marketing and input to sales strategies in agreement with the BU and sales organization
- Continuous improvement of the product presentation at the point of sales (shelf and special dealer presentation)
- Top customers: Ensure customer profitability with terms & conditions as well as Bosch market share within the customer
- Visit relevant A-customers and fairs regularly
- Develop and execute product specific regional marketing plan / sales actions by distribution channel
- Drive customer acquisition projects follow-up
Communication / Promotion (services provided by Sales and Marketing Support)
- Implementation of the BU specific part of the MA Communication concept in the region.
- Adaption and implementation of pan-African campaigns in the region
- Creation of – with first priority customer-specific – local promotions; ensure implementation with SMS3
- Success tracking of communication- and promotion activities
- Coordination of BU specific Marketing-Budget
- Responsibility of advertising material (order and usage) (SMS3 supported)
- Support development of catalogue / ESI development (product content)
- Initiate and brief RBAF/COM about local customer specific promotions and campaigns; track success
- Support with fairs and customer events
Qualifications
EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Engineering
EXPERIENCE
• 5 years of experience in Marketing / Sales / Project Management
SKILLS
- High Microsoft Excel proficiency
- SAP handling experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge on Bosch automotive product portfolio.
- Fluent in English, and Arabic German is a plus
