Product Specialist, Life Sciences

Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Product, Life Sciences, this position supports the design, development, and release of Life Sciences software products. Working closely with Product Managers, the role is responsible for supporting product development and commercialization efforts while fostering engagement with customers and employees across all organizational levels.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of histopathology workflows in both research and clinical settings.
- Work closely with Product Managers and the Director of Product to identify product gaps, generate new product ideas to increase market share, improve customer experience, and drive revenue growth.
- Translate product strategy into detailed product requirements, specifications, and prototypes.
- Support the management of internal communication processes to ensure customer and user feedback is effectively communicated to development teams.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and engineering teams to prioritize initiatives and support the timely delivery of product enhancements and new features.
- Support product launch activities, including the development of training materials, user guides, marketing content in collaboration with marketing and product management teams.
- Prepare and submit product-specific collateral, presentations, and supporting materials for review, distribution, and approval.
- Coordinate with field teams to build and maintain relationships with customers, research partners, and internal stakeholders to support product development, adoption, and customer success.
- Visit customers and key stakeholders to gather feedback on company products, services, and future product needs.
- Responsible for the appropriate accessing and handling of electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) as outlined by policy and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical or scientific field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medicine, Etc.)
- One (1) year of experience in product development, product management, or similar positions within the life science or diagnostics industries. Experience working with any of the Indica Labs, LLC. products.
- Valid Passport for international travel
- Authorization to work in the United States, or appropriate authorization to work in the applicant’s current home country (Indica Labs does not sponsor work visas)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in technical or scientific field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medicine, Etc.)

- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to provide superior customer service
- Intermediate skills in Information Technology (IT) and network knowledge
- Ability to deliver presentations to small and large scientific audiences, often with short notice
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
- Knowledge of scientific software packages
- Skilled at swiftly changing priorities as requirements are identified
Location
This position reports to our headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, and is open to global applicants. Candidates currently residing within 100 miles of Albuquerque are considered for 100% in-office positions (existing employees maintain their current hybrid or remote status). Candidates currently residing outside of this area are considered for fully remote positions in their home state or country.
