How you will make an impact:

The Product Solutions Engineer at Meissner will support fast-paced pre-sale and post-sale activities contributing to the development and implementation of complex technical products in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. This role will develop customer-driven solutions, contribute to proposals and feasibility assessments, and coordinate implementation efforts. The Product Solutions Engineer requires nimble execution, strong technical communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to drive effective outcomes.

  • Contribute to solution design by rapidly configuring existing systems, collaborating with suppliers or partners, and designing custom elements when required. Focus on delivering practical, manufacturable solutions balancing speed, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Identify and engage with suppliers to source and evaluate technical solutions that meet functional, regulatory, and delivery requirements. Maintain effective working relationships with supplier contacts to ensure responsiveness, collaboration, and alignment during solution development.
  • Collaborate with customers, Sales, and internal teams to gather, clarify, and interpret technical and application requirements. When required, contribute to the development and review of URS, FRS, and Detailed Design Specifications (DDS) to ensure alignment between customer expectations and technical solutions.
  • Conduct nimble feasibility evaluations for specialized applications and custom requests using quick, iterative methods. Apply fail-fast principles to assess technical viability early and support hands-on testing to accelerate decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of technical proposals and quotations by translating customer requests into recommended solutions. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Engineering, Applications, Sales, finance) and assist in coordinating proposal inputs. Review user requirement specifications (URS) and develop functional requirement specifications (FRS) when needed.

This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA.

The skills and experience you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Manufacturing.
  • 2 or more years of working experience as an engineer or a related position.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day project responsibilities and timelines while coordinating with cross-functional teams and escalating risks appropriately.
  • Mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to support component selection, system layout, and design considerations in technical projects.

US BASE PAY SCALE $87,100 - $104,700

The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.

Skills Required
