ISS-Corporate is offering an exciting opportunity for someone looking to join our rapidly growing Executive Compensation and Corporate Governance sales team. We are immediately seeking a B2B Sales Representative to market a suite of tools to public companies to assist them with their Executive Compensation and Corporate Governance programs.

 

With an expanding product suite and market leader reputation providing corporate governance and executive compensation solutions to public companies, ISS-Corporate provides an ideal platform for a sales rep to advance their career. The salesperson will oversee a book of prospect accounts. This is a hybrid position, working from home and in an office environment alongside sales colleagues in either our Rockville MD or Washington DC offices, with travel up to 10% possible.


The Product Sales Specialist is expected to communicate with various contacts within the C-suite of publicly traded companies, with a focus on reaching and developing business with heads of Legal, Human Resources, CFOs, and Investor Relations and in some instances, CEOs and members of the board of directors. This role will be focused on developing business with new prospects as well as prospecting for cross-selling opportunities across ISS-Corporate’s existing book of clients. The ISS-Corporate Executive Compensation and Corporate Governance business represents a key area of growth for the company and this person is expected to be a key contributor and team player.

Responsibilities

  • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets within an assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain contacts with C-level executives
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting for new business opportunities, online product demonstrations, territory and pipeline management, contract negotiation, and closing business
  • Create lead generation campaigns, prospect and cold call, and respond to incoming marketing leads to build new business
  • Understand the larger ISS-Corporate product suite and capabilities to recognize cross-selling opportunities and demonstrate ISS-Corporate product knowledge
  • Partner with members of the ISS-Corporate advisory team to convey value proposition and technical subject matter expertise to prospective clients
  • Attend trade shows and on-site meetings with prospects (less than 10% travel required)
  • Assist in product development efforts by delivering feedback on market needs and opportunities

 

Qualifications

  • A demonstrated track record of success selling within a B2B environment
  • Outstanding writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Innovative, creative approach to selling and fearless attitude calling on decision makers
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3-7 years’ work experience, financial services industry or selling into public companies is a plus
  • Self-starter who can work independently across a team with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new content, sales strategies, and learn new products and services
  • Interest in financial markets and following daily events/news
  • Willingness to travel (less than 10%)
  • Absolute personal and business integrity

 

This role can be based in Rockville, MD or Washington, DC.

  • The Rockville office located is one mile from the Shady Grove Red Line metro station, with free shuttle service between the metro and office.

  • The Washington, DC location is Metro accessible.

Base salary: The Rockville, MD and DC expected base pay range is $100,000- $108,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.

The role is bonus or sales incentive eligible.
