Job Title: Product Sales Simulation & Learning and Value Chain Optimization

Reporting Line: Reporting line VP Product Sales Simulation & Learning and Value Chain Optimization

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Employment Type: full time (permanent) 

Work Style: Hybrid (3 days at the office)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities The overall objectives of this role are to:

  • Meet and exceed the desired pipeline quota based on Value Chain Optimization and Simulation & Learning portfolios.

  • Meet or exceed the assigned sales quota based on Value Chain Optimization and Simulation & Learning portfolios.

  • Provide domain expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    - Planning and scheduling for refinery and petrochemicals
    - Real-time optimization and data reconciliation
    - Process simulation
    - Pipeline simulation

Responsibilities tasks are the following:

Direct sales pursuits:

o Work with regional sales and product sales teams to acquire new customers and to generate new business.

o Support the sales process from lead generation through all phases of the development of the opportunity including the solution development, proposal generation, contract preparation, commercial negotiations and close. This also includes interactions with regional sales product sales and business leaderships to define the pricing and other opportunity specific strategies.

Demand generation and business development:

o Work with regional marketing to shape marketing and demand generation initiatives specific to Value Chain Optimization and Simulation & Learning

o Work closely with AVEVA sales resources to identify new opportunities

- This includes our partners and channels, including but not limited to Schneider Electric segment sales.

o Be the domain expert in at least two of the areas listed above for customer needs, competition, industry trends, etc. and to have the ability to effectively articulate the value propositions within the software in a compelling fashion.

o Participate in and initiate marketing events such as trade shows, regional roadshows, industry councils or associations.

o Conduct customer facing and internal sales enablement webinars

Participate in and support regular cadence reporting to AVEVA direct sales and product sales team.

Any other actions or tasks that may be requested to meet the overall objective of growing the Simulation &Learning and Value Chain Optimization business in the assigned market.

  • Order and pipeline growth as measured from AVEVA CRM system.

  • Demonstrated C-Level client relationship management skills

  • Excellent domain knowledge, understanding of business stakes and long-term evolution; customer knowledge & network

  • Able to independently demonstrate at least two of the AVEVA Simulation & Learning and Value Chain Optimization businesses

  • Strategic thinker with long term vision and growth orientation

  • Can demonstrate strong achievement in solution sales

Work Experience and Education

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development or account management in a technology environment

  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in business technical sales or consulting

  • Significant sales or operational experience

  • Significant technical sales or operational experience

  • Demonstrated experience of consistently meeting sales targets and objectives

  • Demonstrated experience in C-level selling

  • Demonstrated experience in solution selling

  • Operations technology and enterprise software understanding and experience

  • Understanding of enterprise business systems application, commercial law, tender evaluation and quote preparation

  • Degree in engineering science discipline

  • Significant computer science exposure is desirable.

Location

  • Flexible as long as easy to travel

  • Percentage of travel: 50%

Hybrid working
